The Montreal Canadiens Alumni at The Bird's Nest

Beijing, China -- On Saturday, January 16th, the Canadiens Alumni visited the Beijing National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest. This iconic facility hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics and will be used again as one of the main venues for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Afterwards, the whole crew went to the Pond Hockey Tournament that had as a backdrop the fascinating architecture of the National Stadium.

It was an incredible team consisting of the Montreal Canadiens Alumni Legends, Steve Shutt, Gaston Gingras, Patrice Brisebois, Mathieu Dandenault, Montreal Canadiens representatives: Stephane Verret and Angelo Ruffolo, Ambassador of Canada, Mr. Guy Saint-Jacques, and CTC management: Glenn Miller and EJ Bauer. They played against the Beijing Expos, a eam formed by local hockey players.

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni Team defeated the Beijing Expos 7-5, thanks to a pair of goals from Shutt and Gingras.

Youppi made his presence at the tournament by supporting the Canadiens Alumni Team and interacting with hockey fans that attended the event.
